I have to be member of ECBC to check out books?
Answer: No. We
welcome everyone.
What
are the requirements to check out books?
Answer: Fill out a yellow
registration form (found at the circulation desk).We will then enter your data
in the computer and check out your materials.
How
long before the items are due?
Answer: New Books – 2 weeks;
Books – 4 weeks; Audio Books – 4 weeks; Music Cds – 4 weeks; Videos/Dvds
– 1 week.
Do you charge overdue
fees?
Answer: No. Although we do expect payment for lost or damaged
items.
What if I return an item
to the public library?
Answer: Please check with the branch the
item was returned to, first. If that proves unsuccessful, please call Pat (CCPL)
at 805-6807 for help in recovering those items. Items returned to any Charleston
County Library branch will be sent to the CCPL Main branch.
Do
you accept donations?
Answer: Yes! Your donations are greatly
appreciated. Please see the donation policy for our guidelines.
Can
you order a book for me?
Answer: We do not order books for individuals.
We do order requested items for the library collection that meet our guidelines.

Is
the Online bookstore part of the library ministry?
Answer: No.
The Online bookstore is a separate entity administered by the Music Ministry.
Can you use more volunteers?
Answer:
Yes! We are always in need of more volunteers. Please see the Volunteer Registration
for more details. But also note that many of our volunteers drop by for 15 minutes,
here and there, to shelve books or perform other tasks.
